2007-08-25 - Camden, NJ - Tweeter Center at The Waterfront - Projekt Revolution Tour

The fourth incarnation of Projekt Revolution hit the Tweeter Center in Camden, NJ on Saturday 8/25/07. The 29 date trek began on July 25th at White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, WA and will end at Coors Amphitheatre in Englewood, CO on September 3rd. The 2007 line-up of acts was: Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, HIM, Placebo and Julien-K on the Main Stage and Mindless Self Indulgence, Saosin, The Bled, Styles of Beyond and Madina Lake on the Revolution Stage. Quite a collection of different bands and diverse in every way. Variety has always been key for the Projekt Revolution tours and this year wasn’t any different. The one constant throughout all the tours has been a great offering of different music and the satisfaction of all the fans! Projekt Revolution 2007 was a triumph on many levels and equally as successful as other annual multi-act tours like: Vans Warped Tour, Family Values Tour and Ozzfest, to name a few, all of which hit the Tweeter Center every year. The Revolution Stage started things off at 12:45pm on a blazing hot Summer August day with blue skies and a much needed breeze coming off the Delaware River. The crowd’s enthusiasm was apparent from the start of the concert and only intensified as the day went along, culminating by the blistering performance by Linkin Park who played a killer set including hits from previous albums like, “Crawling”, “In The End”, “Somewhere I Belong” and “What I’ve Done” from their latest album, “Minutes To Midnight”. In addition to the music, Project Revolution 2007 also incorporated a message. Music For Relief, established by Linkin Park in 2005, following the tsunami in Southeast Asia, to aid victims of natural disasters, recognizes the many ramifications of global warming and focuses on helping to prevent future natural disasters by reducing greenhouse gasses, seeking renewable forms of energy and educating the public about climate change. In addition to making the tour an environmentally friendly "Green" tour, Projekt Revolution and Music For Relief will be donating $1 from each ticket to give to the American Forests Organization for their Global ReLeaf program, which plants trees to help reduce global temperatures. So, Projekt Revolution 2007 was a win-win situation for everyone! The bands, the fans and the planet!
